"Over the years I have offered auditions for my company in several European cities, with hundreds of applicants vying for a place in the company. However, I decided to change the format of auditions to create a more personalized and credible approach. I initiated the workshop-audition series in order to get to know the participants on a more personal level and develop a professional relationship before inviting them to join the company. Not only did this approach lead to more fruitful relationships on a creative level, but it allowed me to create a close-knit group of dancers capable of dealing with the demands of working with the Tanz Company Gervasi."                                                                                    Elio Gervasi
